Palm City, FL (April 19, 2010) – HorseHugger LLC introduces its revolutionary new equine training aid today. The HorseHugger Training System is a safe and effective way to help horses to engage their hind ends, strengthening the proper muscles and increasing range of motion needed to excel in any discipline. The HorseHugger Training System benefits horses across many disciplines because it is designed to strengthen the hind end and abdominal muscles – the true “engine” of the horse.

Most horses tend to carry their weight on their front end, minimizing the “push” from the hind end. But the demands of hunter/jumper, eventing, and dressage disciplines require that the horse carry weight on the hind end to enable the horse to jump with scope and bascule, or carry a rider while performing collected dressage movements.

While training a horse to carry himself properly requires consistent work with a patient and knowledgeable rider, the HorseHugger Training System offers a simple, safe tool that helps the horse understand what the rider is asking of him. This results in the equine athlete developing all the right musculature to move correctly.

The principle behind the HorseHugger Training System is that it gives the horse a “hug” around his hind end, gently encouraging him to take a bigger step underneath himself. In the same way a physical therapist or trainer helps an athlete optimize their form by modifying movements and position, the HorseHugger Training System improves the horse’s form and way of going.

The HorseHugger Training System can be used while lunging, riding on the flat, and riding over fences. Riders and trainers who have tested the HorseHugger Training System say that the results they achieve are similar to what they can get from long-lining a horse, but the simple design of the HorseHugger makes it easier for the horse to learn and perform correctly.

Luis Denizard, an FEI-level dressage rider based in Palm City, FL who rides for the Puerto Rico Equestrian Team, designed the HorseHugger Training System years ago to train and re-train dressage and event horses at Delante Equestrian Center. After using his design for years with incredible success on horses of various breeds and body types, he decided to bring the HorseHugger Training System to market. His company worked for 18 months to refine the design and find the highest-quality materials to construct the device, which is manufactured in the U.S.A. by skilled craftsmen. The new patent-pending HorseHugger Training System is reasonably priced at $139.95 USD.
