Leslie Morse proved her training program with Kingston is on track by finishing second in the Hagen (Germany) CDI Grand Prix (73.54%) and claiming the top spot in the Grand Prix freestyle (76.52%), on Aug. 11-14. On her Swedish stallion Tip Top, she was seventh in both the Grand Prix (69.88 %) and the Grand Prix Special (70.32 %).
The entire American squad used the Hagen show to prepare for Nations Cup competition at the CDIO Aachen, also in Germany, Aug. 24-28. The four-member squad is currently stationed in Germany to train with team coach Klaus Balkenhol, on a U.S. Equestrian Federation grant.

George Williams and Rocher scored a 69.33 percent in the Grand Prix to finish eighth but then dropped in the Grand Prix Special to 10th with a 68.12 percent. Steffen Peters and Lombardi II improved on their ninth-placed finish in the Grand Prix (68.54%) in the Special by pushing the score up to a 70.88 percent, good for fourth place. Guenter Seidel\’s 67.13 percent in the Grand Prix was below Aragon\’s normal ability and left them in 14th. They finished ninth in the Grand Prix Special (68.16%).
Germany\’s Nadine Capellmann won the Grand Prix (76.00%) and the Grand Prix Special (75.80%) on her ever-improving young Grand Prix mount, Elvis.
