The Badminton Horse Trials announced on Oct. 12 that 2019 will be the last year Mitsubishi Motors acts as the title sponsor. The 2019 Badminton Horse Trials will be held May 1-5 in South Gloucestershire, England, and will be the event’s 70th year running. Mitsubishi Motors has sponsored the event for 28 years.

“It is always sad when a very successful partnership comes to an end, and especially when over the years event and sponsor have developed a genuine friendship,” said event director Hugh Thomas. “However when one door closes another one opens, and it will be exciting to see where that leads.”

Rob Lindley, managing director at Mitsubishi Motors in the United Kingdom commented, “We have had an outstanding collaboration with the Badminton Horse Trials, and it has played an important part in raising the profile of our brand and our vehicles over the years.
