Menlo Charity Horse Show is pleased to announce a new addition to our management team. Phil J. DeVita Jr. will be joining MCHS in the newly created role of Technical Coordinator for 2016.
DeVita comes to Menlo Charity Horse Show (MCHS) with a long and successful resume. At the young age of 20 he started his career by received his USEF judge’s license, and began course design at 23, gaining experience at prestigious events and working with the best in the equestrian industry. As a second generation horseman and following in his father, Philip DeVita, footsteps, DeVita’s lifelong involvement with the horse industry qualifies him for this role on the team with MCHS. Since the mid 1970’s, DeVita has been training, competing, and working in many facets of our industry throughout the country.
In 1995, after years of training, competing horses and being involved in variety of capacities, DeVita began to transition into becoming a Show Official. This resulted in DeVita becoming a full time R Judge, R Course Designer, and Horse Show Manager. He has been involved in many top-level events including designing the courses for the 2000 and 2002 ASPCA Maclay Finals at Madison Square Garden, as well as numerous other top rated horse shows, including the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), the Devon Horse Show and Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC.
His experience in show management includes the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, the American Royal Horse Show, the Germantown Charity Horse Show, Trader’s Point Charity Horse Show, and Franktown Meadows, just to name a few.
