Jacobs litigation against GDF

All this is revenge for Lou Jacobs losing the Stadium Jumping litiagation 6 years ago. Bellissimo has removed all the commerical issues and it is truly a horse show site. However the Jacobs family contines to lie to the public. While the state over and over how they "support dressage", they then do every thing legally possible to tear down the existing facility. The Jacobs family needs to drop the revenge trip against Bellissimo and let the dressage facility flourish.

GDF Venue

Support for the Equestrian Village venue is nearly universal in the equestrian community. The equestrian community is becoming increasingly frustrated that they are not able to use the facility, especially the covered arena, during the summer months. They are bothered often to the point of outrage by the claims that the venue is not compatible with the Equestrian Preserve. They find that incredulous. Bottom line is that they want the war to end and to be able to use the facility as originally improved. The situation has become so frustrating that people are looking forward to the matter being taken out of the hands of elected officials and having the courts decide the outcome.

We are tired of the Jacobs

The Jacobs ran WEF into the ground. Their business model for running shows failed miserably. They made virtually no investment. They tried moving the showgrounds and that failed. Bellisimo put together WEP and saved WEF and the sport. The Jacobs and their small band of sycophantic followers can't accept that. It is very hard to explain the Jacobs motives other than to speculate that they are jealous and also want a much less vibrant and inclusive sport. What is hard to fathom is the depth of Jacobs selfishness, arrogance and callousness. They spent over a half million dollars to elect a council to do their dirty work. Through their council they were willing to kill this year's GDF which would have caused many people money and enjoyment and would have cost the community prestige and goodwill. They indeed are selfish and ruthless.
