Officials at Blenheim EquiSports announced on Aug. 10 that after careful consideration, and in the interest of owners, riders and show management, they’ve canceled the 2009 Las Vegas National (Nev.) horse show.
Blenheim EquiSports President Robert Ridland met with the owner and general manager of the show venue, the South Point Hotel, regarding the FEI World Cup Finals and World Cup qualifiers in Las Vegas this year and in the years to come. Their mutual goal is to redesign the show’s format, while also considering the significance of Blenheim EquiSports’ bid to bring the FEI World Cup Finals back to Las Vegas in 2014.
