West Palm Beach, FL (March 16, 2010) – Danish Olympic dressage star Lars Petersen rode into the winner’s circle during the Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge II, winning the FEI Grand Prix Special aboard Beemer and taking home another gift certificate from The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center. Petersen also won a class sponsored by The Sanctuary at the Gold Coast Opener earlier this year aboard his horse Success.
Petersen, the head trainer at Legacy Farms in White Fences, thanked The Sanctuary for sponsoring the class. “I really appreciate it,” he said, referring to the world-class facility in Ocala that is dedicated to the healing, conditioning and well being of all equine athletes. Petersen added that he was also pleased with Beemer, who has been coming up through the FEI levels and is new to the Grand Prix.
Petersen’s success in the show ring is vast, including being named the Danish National Champion five times and represented Denmark at the Olympic Games, three World Equestrian Games, two World Cup Finals and three Continental Championships. Since moving to the United States, Petersen has continued to earn an impressive record at some of the most prestigious shows in the country.
