Karen O’Connor To Appear On NBC’s Today Show

After her double gold-medal performance at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Karen O'Connor will appear as a guest on NBC's Today Show on Wednesday, Aug. 8.

The eventer will be one of ten athletes appearing in a preview segment of the 2008 Olympic Games in China, which will hold its opening ceremonies one year from Wednesday.

O'Connor will join former Olympic medalists and current hopefuls from various sports in the segment, which is scheduled to run during the 8 o'clock hour, EST.

Although horses have appeared on Today in the past, O’Connor’s pony prodigy, Theodore O’Connor, will not be joining his rider in Manhattan’s always-electric Rockefeller Plaza. “He would lose his cookies!” said O’Connor.
