U.S. Dressage Federation officials announced that Jan Brink will be the featured presenter during the 2009 USDF National Symposium.

Brink anchored the Swedish team in three Olympic Games, three World Equestrian Games and every European Championship since 2001 aboard Briar. He’s accumulated more international championship medals than any other Swedish dressage rider, and he’s won 32 international Grand Prix tests. He retired from competition this year after the Rolex FEI World Cup Final in Las Vegas, Nev.
“Jan was so well received when he hosted the 2007 and 2008 Succeed/USDF FEI-Level Trainers’ Conference, that we were thrilled when he agreed to come back and present at this year’s symposium where everyone can experience his unique insight and teaching style,” stated Katherine Robertson, Senior Coordinator of Education Programs.
Other presenters at this year’s symposium include Terry Ciotti Gallo, Ann Guptill, Sandy Howard, Tigger Montague, Jane Savoie and Dr. Hilary Clayton.
USDF also announced an extension of the application deadline for the Young Rider Graduate Program until Oct. 30. The program, held Jan. 16-18 in West Palm Beach, Fla., will feature a classroom setting with international trainers, high performance riders, former young rider graduates and equine industry experts.
