Irish Event Rider Killed In Accident At Brockenhurst Park

Northern Ireland\'s Sherelle Duke was killed in a fall at Brockenhurst Park Horse Trials, Aug. 20 in Southampton, England.

Duke, 28, of Portadown, Co. Armagh, died when her horse fell on her. She is a former World Young Rider Champion and rode in the 2003 European Championships for Ireland. She had been competing Glenbuck, Ballystockart and Art Attack at advanced level this season, finishing 11th at Gatcombe (England) earlier this month on Ballystockart.
