Four-star event rider Samantha Taylor and Grand Prix dressage rider Pierre St. Jacques were married on Aug. 22 in Vancouver, B.C. Taylor’s maid of honor was Stephanie Halmhofer, and St. Jacques’ best man was Patrick Taylor.
“The weather was beautiful, and it was a really special day,” said Samantha. “Pierre and I are really happy together and looking forward to many great years to come.”

Samantha represented Canada in eventing at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong, riding Livewire. Livewire was retired from competition earlier this year. St. Jacques, Anthony, Fla., most recently rode Lucky Tiger to second place in the Grand Prix at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Grand Prix Dressage Championship (N.J.) in June.
