The Equine Disease Communication Center reported on April 5 that a horse tested positive for the respiratory form of equine herpesvirus (EHV-1) at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. The horse was isolated as soon as it presented with a fever on April 1 and is being treated at an equine hospital. It is not showing neurologic symptoms.
