Hilltop Farm 2012 Stallion Line-Up
The Guest Stallion Program at Hilltop Farm provides dynamic changes to our line-up each season. In 2012, we are proud to welcome five stallions to this program, including two newly licensed stallions that will be available for breeding for the very first time. De Feiner Star (De Laurentis – Feiner Stern – Riverman)

Breeding Fee: $1200 LFG frozen semen
A new addition to the Hilltop Farm line-up in 2012! De Feiner Star is sired by the elegant Hanoverian stallion De Laurentis (De Niro-Caprimond) who earned 9’s or higher at his Stallion Test for character, temperament, willingness to work, and his walk. Dam sire Feiner Stern was a Class 1 stallion that although he has produced 18 licensed sons, is especially regarded as a broodmare sire. In 2010 De Feiner Star was the Stallion Champion and Reserve Champion Mature Horse of Dressage at Devon and in 2011 he won the Stallions Under Saddle and his Materiale class. He’s also been a consistent winner in the FEI Young Horse classes with scores as high as 8.48 and is also winning at Second Level. De Feiner Star was Champion of his ISR/Oldenburg licensing in 2011 with an overall score of 230.5 points, including scores of 8 or higher for type, trot, athletic ability, and jumping technique. Don Hill (Don Gregory – Hill Hawk xx – Pik Bube)

A Bundeschampionat finalist who has competed successfully in the FEI arena in both Europe and the United States, Don Hill has already proven he has the movement and trainability needed to excel in the dressage arena. His sire Don Gregory is a successful Grand Prix horse that has sired 10 approved sons and his dam line offers the valuable influence of Hill Hawk xx and Pik Bube. Already fully-approved with the Hanoverian Verband and the American Hanoverian Society, Don Hill was presented to ISR/OldenburgNA in 2011 and was Reserve Champion Stallion at his licensing, including earning scores of 8 for his trot and athletic ability. Donarweiss (De Niro – Hohenstein – Archipel)

Donarweiss was Champion of his 30-day Performance Test and has progressed quickly through the FEI levels with scores into the 70’s. He was the 2009 USDF Region 8 Champion at Prix St. Georges, has captured USDF All-Breeds Awards each year at the FEI levels, and just completed his first season at Grand Prix with a median score over 65%. His sire De Niro also competed at Grand Prix and has been a prolific producer with 108 SPS Mares, 25 approved sons, and international-quality Grand Prix horses to his credit. Intelligent, athletic, and charismatic describe Donarweiss and his offspring. Hemmingway (Hofrat – Archipel – Weltmeyer)

New to the Hilltop Farm Line-up in 2012! This young stallion offers size, elasticity, scope, and a unique pedigree to US breeders. Hemmingway’s sire Hofrat is well-resprected in Germany and is the sire of the popular young stallion Hotline. Hofrat was Reserve Champion of his licensing, a Bundeschampionat finalist, the 2002 Trakehner Champion, and has been a successful FEI competitor. Hofrat, like Totilas, is sired by the Elite Stallion Gribaldi. Hemmingway was licensed in 2011 by ISR/OldenburgNA, earning the highest Conformation Index of the day. We look forward to Hemmingway’s first breeding season in 2012. Licensed: ISR/OldNA
Popeye (FS Pour l’Amour – Night Star I – Nobel)

Popeye continues to exceed our expectations at each step in his career. At his 30-Day test in Germany, Popeye earned 9.5 for his walk and 9 for character. In 2007 he was the Reserve Champion for the USDF East Coast Stallion Final at Dressage at Devon. He was the 2010 USDF All-Breeds Champion at Third Level for Westfalens and was the 2011 Reserve Champion for Fourth Level at the BLM Finals. Sire FS Pour l’Amour competed in the Bundeschampionat three times and has sired a number of approved sons and several highly decorated mares. Grandsire Night Star I won his licensing and placed second at the Bundeschampionat for show jumping ponies in 1987. Popeye has sired a high percentage of Premium offspring and his oldest offspring are proving exceptionally easy to start and are already winning under saddle. Approved: ISR Sport Pony & Westfalen
