Heather Blitz won the Prix St George (70.00%) and came third in the Intermediare I (66.711%) at Dressage at Equestrian Estates this past weekend on Pat Nelley’s 12 year old Oldenburg gelding, Wanderlust, (Welt Hit x Dream of Glory). It was a new ride for Heather as Wanderlust (aka ‘Waldo’) was only imported from Denmark at the end of the year.
“He was a total professional in the ring,” said Heather. ” It was my first time with him in the show ring and I was thrilled at how well he knows his job.”
Wanderlust’s owner, Pat Nelley, from Nashville, Tennessee, said, “I am absolutely thrilled with my new horse and how he has blossomed under Heather’s training. He was so consistent at the show and so honest. I’m very excited for his future.”
Pat Neely is one of Heather’s long-time clients and now bases her riding program at Heather’s training center in Florida.
Heather will be back on the road shortly with her next Mind Your Riding Clinic Tour which begins in Delano, MN, April 10-11, followed by Portland, ME May 1-2, 2010. For more information, please click on the Clinic page contacts on the website at www.heatherblitz.info.
