Officially Doug is an USEF ‘r’ Judge and Technical Delegate. He is also USEA certified ICP level III instructor. Doug holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, and is also a graduate ‘A’ pony clubber from Somerset Hills Pony Club.  Doug might be best known in the discipline of Eventing. Doug’s winning ways have their beginnings with a Silver Medal effort in the North American Young Rider Championships (2000). Doug has won countless national and international competitions from Beginner Novice through Advanced. In 2009, he had 96 starts with 15 wins and 58 top 5’s and 79 top 10 placings on 20 different horses. Career highlights include: a win at the 2005 American Eventing Championships, the last ‘long format’ CCI* at the Virginia Horse Trials in 2009, A second place at both the Fair Hill (2009) and Jersey Fresh (2010) CCI**’s.

In Dressage he has had international success through FEI Intermediaire I. Doug was 5th at the Bengt Lindquist Memorial Championships at Prix St. George (2007). He has been a multiple regional year-end award winner at the FEI levels.

Doug is currently based out of Misty Hollow Farm in Oldwick, NJ. He continues his work with DP Equestrian and competes year-round, working toward his ultimate goal of competing in the 2012 Olympic games.
