HAYGAIN Hay Steamers is a proud sponsor of international eventing rider Sinead Halpin.

Influenced by her mother’s passion, Sinead has had a love of horses since childhood. She spent her time riding and caring for the horses on her family’s South Carolina farm. In high school, her summers were spent working and training with Canadian Olympian Stuart Black in Middleburg, Va. Under his training, Sinead made her Three Star debut at the age of 19, drawing attention from legends David O’Connor and Mark Phillips, and soon after, won the Bromont International Three Day Event in Quebec, Canada.

Her next move to High Acre, for the O’Connor Equestrian Team (OCET), gave her experience with top vets, farriers and horsemen from around the world. She became a partner in Dunlavin Eventing and won a number of horse trials, became a member of the United States Equestrian Team Developing Rider Program and won the prestigious Radnor Hunt National Two Star Championships.

With the help of sponsors and owners, Sinead was able to move to the UK to train with Eventing legends Mark and Sandy Phillips. Then she worked for William Fox-Pitt for ten months where the she saw great success for the horses she worked with and learned what it takes to lead a team into international glory.

Sinead has set even higher goals for 2010, and the HAYGAIN team is proud to support her on this journey. On behalf of the HAYGAIN team, Congratulations and best of luck for the coming year!
