Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) announced today that they will be offering specially branded hats to the Brandywine Valley Summer Series and to the Capital Challenge Horse Show. These hats will then be sold by volunteers to benefit charities chosen to be the beneficiaries by each show.
During the Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services, held at the Devon Horse Show grounds in Devon, Pennsylvania, Chester County Food Bank volunteers will be on-site to sell the hats. 100% of the hat sales at Brandywine will go directly to the Chester County Food Bank. At the Capital Challenge Horse Show in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, later this year, proceeds will benefit the USHJA Foundation’s Horseman’s Assistance Fund.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Taylor Harris Insurance Services as our presenting sponsor, and with their help we will be able to do even more to raise funds for the Chester County Food Bank to assist them in serving people in need in our area,” said Jennifer Burger, Co-Chair of the Brandywine Valley Summer Series. The Chester County Food Bank is a non-profit organization that collects, grows, processes, stores and distributes food to those who serve the hungry of Chester County, Pennsylvania. They distribute over 1,200,000 pounds of food per year to over 65 organizations that include food cupboards, meal sites and non-profit organizations. Their mission is to feed the over 40,000 local households that don’t have enough food.
“Any time that we as a company can assist our partners with their charitable efforts we are happy to help,” stated THIS President Michael Taylor. “When we can involve an excellent equestrian event, then all the better. No one in this country should go hungry. We are very hopeful that through the hat sales at Brandywine, we can send a nice donation to the Chester County Food Bank.”
Taylor Harris recently debuted their exciting new Triple Crown Challenge, a three event challenge that offers a spectacular $200,000 top prize for any show jumping rider that can put together back to back to back wins at three of the nation’s most prestigious grand prix events.
The three events included in the Taylor Harris Triple Crown Challenge are the $100,000 Wells Fargo Grand Prix of Devon, the $250,000 FTI Grand Prix & FEI World Cupâ„¢ Qualifier at the Hampton Classic and the $250,000 Alltech National Horse Show Grand Prix. The $200,000 prize will be awarded to the same horse and rider combination that can win all three of those events in the same show season.
