Gribaldi Suffers Fatal Aortic Tear

Top dressage stallion Gribaldi died of an aortic rupture on Feb. 14.

The 17-year-old Trakehner stallion (Kostolany—Gondola II) accomplished much in the show ring and in the breeding shed. The Netherlands' Edward Gal rode Gribaldi to many Grand Prix victories, and Gribaldi sired some of the top dressage stars today, including Moorlands Totilas and IPS Painted Black. He was a Trakehner Elite Sire and a KWPN Keur stallion. He produced 16 licensed offspring.
