Germany Wins Eventing Gold; Australia Silver

Hinrich Romeike and Marius led the German team to the Olympic gold medal with just one rail down, and they retain the individual lead going into the second round later tonight, Aug. 12 in Hong Kong. The Australians won silver, and Great Britain took bronze. The U.S. team finished seventh, with Gina Miles in contention for an individual medal, standing fourth, less than a rail from the gold.
