German Olympic Eventing Team Announced

The German Olympic Equestrian Committee on Sunday, following the conclusion of Luhmulen Horse Trials, announced its eventing team for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The team will be:

• Sandra Auffarth on Viamant du Matz, with Let’s Dance as her reserve horse

• Michael Jung on fischerChipmunk FRH, with fischerWild Wave as his reserve

• Julia Krajewski on Amande de B’Neville

Andreas Dibowski on FRH Corrida was named as the traveling reserve. If he is not needed to compete in Tokyo under the new format, his nomination will carry forward to the European Championships in September.

Christoph Wahler and Carjatan S and Anna Siemer on FRH Butt’s Avondale were named second and third reserves, respectively.

Two more horses will be moved to quarantine in advance of the Olympics, Sophie Leube’s Jadore Moi and Dirk Schrade’s Casino.

The Olympic eventing competition will take place July 30-Aug. 2.
