Eventers enjoyed a chance for a sneak peek at the changes to the Tryon International Equestrian Center this weekend at The Fork CIC***, which served as the official test event for the FEI World Equestrian Games in September.
The event ran with show jumping last, making for an exciting finale, with Phillip Dutton and Z taking the win.
Capt. Mark Phillips’ cross-county course looked similar to last year’s CIC*** course and gave riders few hints as to what’s to come, but it was still an important opportunity for potential team riders to run over the undulating White Oak property, a former golf course, which will host part of the cross-country at the WEG.
