Tampa, FL – March 16, 2010 – Stadium Jumping, Inc., announced today that G & C Farm has joined this year’s edition of the $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational presented by G&C Farm in Tampa, Florida, as the presenting sponsor. The American Invitational, known throughout the equestrian world as the “Super Bowl of Show Jumping,” will take place on April 10th, under the lights, at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.

Last month, the FEI, the governing body for world equestrian sports designated this year’s $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational as a qualifying event for the World Equestrian Games 2010 and for the European Championships in 2011.

“We are thrilled to have G & C Farm step forward to help preserve this great event,” said Stadium Jumping’s Michael Morrissey. “Gustavo and Caroline Mirabal have been tremendous supporters of show jumping, and once again they have stepped up to the plate to help our sport.”

Morrissey added, “I also want to thank Leopoldo Palacios who made this deal come together.” Palacios was the Course Designer, along with Palmetto, Florida’s Steve Stephens, at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong.

Gene Mische, the founder of Stadium Jumping, and the creator of the American Invitational was delighted with news that the Gustavo and Caroline Mirabal and G & C Farm had come forwarding support of this American show jumping tradition. “I am very anxious to be in Tampa this year to see the class,” said Mische, who has been waging a valiant war with cancer for the past three years. “To have Gustavo step up to help keep the American Invitational alive is heartwarming. I am anxious to meet with him in Tampa this year to express my sincere gratitude.”

A number of other riders and trainers have also joined in the push to keep the American Invitational alive. “I grateful to those that have contacted me in support of this great class,” Morrissey said.

Tickets for the $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational presented by G&C Farm are now on sale.
