Emily Moffitt’s show jumper For Sale 6 was euthanized yesterday, March 26, after an accident during the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix, the feature class of the final week of the HITS Ocala circuit (Fla.).
For Sale 6 fell at fence 13, an oxer, and the mare left the ring in a horse ambulance. Moffitt walked off course and was unharmed, although she was examined by the on-site paramedics after the fall.

HITS President Tom Struzzieri confirmed that the 11-year-old Westphalian (For Pleasure—Cassina, Cassini I) owned by Moffitt’s Poden Farms of Wellington, Fla., broke an elbow in the fall and was euthanized.
For Sale 6 and Moffitt paired up at the start of 2016, most recently winning the Feb. 12 $50,000 Equo LLC Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival (Fla.). Moffitt, 18, holds dual U.S. and British citizenship and rides for Great Britain. She trains with Ben Maher.
