FEI Welcomes Suggestions For 2013 Equine Prohibited Substance List

Jan 6, 2012 - 6:57 AM

The Fédération Équestre Internationale is inviting interested parties to submit recommendations for the 2013 Equine Prohibited Substance List.

The list is changed and modified yearly, with some substances being added or withdrawn and some moving from the Controlled Medication Substance list to the Banned Substance list, and vice versa. Veterinarians, trainers or anyone who wishes to make a recommendation can request substances be added, removed or changed to a different list.

The List Advisory Group will consider all suggestions after the March 30 deadline, and the suggestions will be published at least 90 days before the start of 2013. The List Advisory Group contains 12 members, experts and specialist members that include veterinarians, pharmacologists, toxicologists and research scientists.

To make a suggestion, visit the FEI website and download the online form.
