The Fédération Equestre Internationale announced today that it will not replace the canceled Longines FEI Jumping World Cup qualifier previously slated to be held at the Las Vegas National as part of the North American League. According to an FEI press release, the limited time left in this season contributed to the decision not to replace the class.
“This would not allow for sufficient preparation to ensure the high standards of competition and venue logistics that the NAL demands,” the press release stated. “Additionally, commercial and broadcast commitments already in place would have posed significant challenges, and adding a replacement qualifier would have created difficulties in maintaining consistent coverage and partnership agreements.”

There will now be seven World Cup qualifiers in the 2024/2025 North American League, with four results for each rider to count. The series wraps up with the final, scheduled for April 1-6 in Basel, Switzerland.
A last-minute management change at the Las Vegas National brought about the cancellation of the World Cup class, and the entire FEI program, for the Nov. 11-17 show, which takes place at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa. Longtime organizer Blenheim EquiSports announced Sept. 14 that Desert International Horse Park would take over management of the competition.
