It was a battle of two brave chestnut mares in the jump-off for the $372,000 FEI World Cup Qualifier CSI-W***** on Jan. 31 under the lights in Wellington, Fla., during Week 4 of the Winter Equestrian Festival.

It was a battle of fast chestnut mares on Jan. 31 under the lights for the $372,000 FEI Fidelity Investments World Cup Qualifier CSI-W***** at Week 4 of the Winter Equestrian Festival, and in the end it was Marie Hecart and Myself de Breve who took home the top check over Ben Maher on Diva. 

“I wasn’t so fast in the beginning, and then I took a chance at the last one. It wasn’t really fast, so it was good that Eric [Lamaze] had a rail,” Hecart said. Read all the Chronicle’s coverage of the class
