This one was a tough one! It took a week, but Jamie Maher finally came up with the correct answer of Eve Fout. In fact, she beat out Betty Oare with the correct answer by just minutes!
Eve Fout founded the Middleburg-Orange County Pony Club more than 45 years ago, and works tirelessly with the Piedmont Environmental Council to further land conservation. She’s the mother of Olympic three-day rider Nina Fout and steeplechase trainer Doug Fout. In 1961, she and former Orange County Hunt huntman Melvin Poe founded the MOC Beagles, a Beagle pack with a mounted field, to help introduce young riders to the hunt field.
