Lexington, KY – September 30, 2013 – The Alltech National Horse Show, announced today that EQ2U the official distributor for EQUILINE srl, a line of luxurious Italian made horse and rider apparel, has elected to sponsor Rider Hospitality for the 2013 Alltech National Horse Show. This year’s event is scheduled for the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky on October 29 – November 3, 2013.
EQUILINE, one of Europe’s premier riding apparel brands is the inspiration of founder, Paolo Marchetto. In the early 1980’s, Marchetto followed his passion for riding and designed a line of revolutionary equestrian products fabricated of natural fibers using advanced design technologies. Prior Marchetto was owner of a textile supply business providing fabrics to major Italian fashion houses, and in the 30 years since, he has leveraged his textile expertise to design and manufacture a full range of equestrian products and riding apparel that is considered haute horse couture. After rising to one of the top three brands in Europe; EQUILINE is now available in the American market.
Proprietary fabrics combined with innovative and functional design are keys to success for EQUILINE. “Our products are conceived by top fashion designers in Italy and are test-ridden to ensure optimal functionality and performance by some of the World’s leading riders. Sponsored riders, such as, Laura Kraut, Lauren Hough, Ben Maher, Nick Skelton and Michel Robert all have a hand in the design process” says Kelly Molinari, Director of EQ2U, “the result is flawless riding apparel.”
EQUILINE has a basic collection of classic show apparel which is supplemented by four seasonal collections that embellish design with on trend fashion elements. The seasonal collections include competitive show apparel and fashionable outerwear to be worn to the barn or as general street wear. Horse equipment is a focal point as well and EQUILINE designs top quality blankets, leg wraps and saddle pads known to be the World’s best.
During The National, EQUILINE products can be found nearby at The Tack Shop of Lexington. Products are also now available at many fine tack stores and through boutiques at several top show venues. “It gives us great pleasure to support Rider Hospitality at The National”, says Molinari, “as a sign of our appreciation for the riders and grooms who use our products and as a means of introducing EQUILINE in the US. Supporting the United States’ oldest indoor horse show is an honor and represents EQUILINE’s commitment to riders at all levels who are the foundation of equestrian sport.”
This year’s Alltech National Horse Show will offer nearly $850,000 in total prize money, including a huge Open Jumper division. The International and Open Jumpers will feature $500,000 in total prize money, including the $250,000 Alltech Grand Prix, designated a CSI-W 5* , an all-important FEI East Coast League World Cup qualifying event. In the Junior and Amateur Owner Jumpers Division, there will be $100,000 in prize money, and $200,000 in prize money will be offered in the AA rated Hunter Division.
