Clare Walker’s Enchantez, an 18-year-old Thoroughbred gelding (Devil’s Toy—Class Reunion, General Assembly), was euthanized on July 14, at the Champagne Run Horse Trials (Kentucky), due to a broken leg.
“Owned and ridden by Clare Walker, Enchantez was competing in the Open Intermediate division at the Champagne Run Horse Trials at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky,” read a statement by the U.S. Eventing Association. “The accident happened on the landing of a jump early on the cross-country course, and Walker was uninjured in the fall.”

Lindsay Oaks brought “Taylor” up through the levels and completed the Rolex Kentucky CCI**** in 2014. Walker purchased the gelding in 2015 and moved up the levels to intermediate with him.
