Pre-show routine: “Before a major horse show I don’t really have a routine, but I always have to make sure that one of the grooms talks to my horses and tells them to be good. They are always best when one of the guys talks to them and encourages the best for the show.”
Good luck charm: “I have a pair of very flowered boot socks that I wear at big shows for good luck.”
Most embarrassing moment: “My most embarrassing moment was probably when I forgot my saddle at zone finals, and I had to use a saddle with breakaway irons. People still joke about that show today even though it was years ago now.”
