Dutch Show Jumping And Eventing Teams Named For 2018 WEG

The Dutch Equestrian Federation has named the horses and riders representing the Netherlands at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Mill Spring, North Carolina, held Sept. 11-23. The dressage riders were named earlier this week.

The following combinations have been named to the show jumping team:

• Frank Schuttert and Chianti’s Champion

• Harrie Smolders and Don VHP Z NOP or Emerald

• Jur Vrieling and VDL Glasgow van het Merelsnest NOP

• Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof’s Calimero

Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep Beauty will be the traveling reserve.

The following combinations have been named to the eventing team:

• Merel Blom and Rumor Has It NOP

• Laura Hoogeveen and Quibus

• Alice Naber-Lozeman and ACSI Peter Parker NOP or ACSI Harry Belafonte

• Raf Kooremans and Henri Z

• Theo van de Vendel and Zindane

The Netherlands will also field teams in para-dressage, driving, endurance, reining and vaulting.
