Driving aficionados and lovers of fine art will enjoy a special exhibit celebrating the history of carriage driving in Middleburg, Va., during October.

More than 50 historic paintings, prints and driving-related accessories will be on exhibit at “A Drive Through Time: The Art and Science of Carriages, 1780s to Present.” The exhibit will open on Oct. 9 and last through Oct. 23, at 1 East Washington St. in Middleburg. East Washington St. is also Rt. 50, which runs through the center of the small, historic town of Middleburg, about 40 miles west of Washington, D.C. The building is at the corner of the town
