Dressage Team Named For Aachen CHIO

Steffen Peters will lead the U.S. charge in the CDIO at the prestigious World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany, this July according to www.dressage-news.com.

Peters, the reigning FEI World Cup Champion, will ride Ravel along with Catherine Haddad on Cadillac and Jane Hannigan on Maksymilian for the U.S. team. This is the first time the United States has fielded a team since 2005.

Steffen Peters will lead the U.S. charge in the CDIO at the prestigious World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany, this July according to www.dressage-news.com.

Peters, the reigning FEI World Cup Champion, will ride Ravel along with Catherine Haddad on Cadillac and Jane Hannigan on Maksymilian for the U.S. team. This is the first time the United States has fielded a team since 2005.

Ravel is an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Contango—Hautain) owned by Akiko Yamazaki. Haddad is based in Vechta, Germany, and owns Cadillac, a 12-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding. Hannigan, Harvard, Mass., rode “Mak” in the Netherlands last year at the FEI Dressage World Cup Final. The Dutch Warmblood gelding (El Caro—Eleanor) is 15.

The Aachen CHIO brings together show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving and vaulting for a week and a half of team and individual competition. This year the event will run from June 26th through July 5th.
