FEI officials released the list of qualified riders for the 2007 FEI World Cup Dressage Final in Las Vegas, Nev., today, March 28.
Riders from the Western European League include Imke Schellekens-Bartels of the Netherlands/Sunrise; Isabell Werth of Germany/Warum Nicht FRH; Andreas Helgstrand of Denmark/Blue Hors Matine; Kyra Kyrklund of Finland/Max; Edward Gal of the Netherlands/Group 4 Securicor IPS Gribaldi; Tinne Vilhelmson of Sweden/Solos Carex; Laurens van Lieren of the Netherlands/Hexagon’s Ollright and Jan Brink of Sweden/Björsells Briar 899.
Marlies van Baalen of the Netherlands and Jeroen Devroe of Belgium are the reserve riders. Van Baalen could only go if one of the Dutch riders withdraws because FEI rules allow for only three riders from a country to compete, unless that country is the host nation.
Iryna Lis of Belarus and Problesk will represent the Central European League. Evi Strasser of Canada on Quantum Tyme will ride for Canada.
The winner and reserve at the U.S. League Final, which will occur March 30-April 1 in Burbank, Calif., will represent the United States.
FEI wild-card recipients include Jacqueline Brooks of Canada/Gran Gesto; Catherine Haddad of the United States/Maximus JSS (she qualified in Europe); Wayne Channon of Great Britain/Lorenzo CH; Daniel Pinto of Portugal/Galopin de la Font and the third-placed finisher at the U.S. League Final.
