Wellington, FL (April 6, 2011) – When dressage rider Caroline Roffman discovered Konig Dressage Boots she became such a fan that she hasn’t worn anything since. Roffman, who made headlines in 2010 when she won the Rising Star Award presented by the International Equestrian Federation, will continue to wear her beloved Konig Boots thanks to a sponsorship from The Dressage Connection, a dressage boutique and mobile store in Wellington owned by Charles and Lisa Tota.  The Dressage Connection has also outfitted the US and Canadian dressage teams, participated in many charity events, and continues to provide high quality dressage apparel and tack to the dressage community.

“Caroline is a great rider with unlimited amounts of talent and I am very proud to be working with her,” Charles said. “Caroline had a fantastic 2010 and I want to congratulate her on all her success. I know Caroline well enough to know that 2011 will be an even better year and I look forward to supplying her with Konig Boots and going along for her amazing ride.”

Since 1990, Konig has produced exclusively first-class riding boots and that are highly reputed by leading riders all over the world. The Dressage Connection offers the Custom Konig, The Konig and the Konig Favorite. The boots are made in Germany by master craftsmen with nylon “whalebone” and a stiff shaft that allow for very little breakdown.

“I love Konig Boots because they are both functional and fashionable,” Roffman said, adding that she wants to thank The Dressage Connection for sponsoring her. “Never before was I able to be in my riding boots all day long without getting blisters, but when you wear Konig Boots you forget you have them on. They are elegant and comfortable, they really are the ultimate dressage boot.”

Roffman, who is based out of Wellington and rides with Olympian Lars Petersen, said she is looking forward to a strong showing in 2011. “Looking back over 2010 it is hard to fathom everything that happened. I turned professional, flew to Taipei to accept the Rising Star Award, met Princess Haya and also won the Five-Year-Old Championship at the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championship in Lamplight on Bon Chance,” she said.

Following her win with Bon Chance, Roffman competed her horse Bulgari 5 in the small tour at the 2010 USEF Festival of Champions in Gladstone, New Jersey, and was the youngest competitor there. “My schedule for this year is just as busy. I have so many great horses to show and I am really looking forward to it,” she said. “I have set many goals for myself and my horses and I plan on working hard and accomplishing them. And, of course, all along the way I will be wearing my Konig Boots from the Dressage Connection.”
