Dressage At Devon: Focus On Education

Dressage at Devon announced that, going forward, its fund raising efforts will be applied to equine education with a particular focus on the discipline of dressage.

“Education has always been the backbone of Dressage at Devon, Inc. We’re very excited to be able to contribute to this effort on a stronger financial level. Our programs will cover a broad range, from amateurs to professionals, and children to adults,” said president and CEO, Lori Kaminski.

So far, the 2012 Dressage at Devon features:

Dressage at Devon announced that, going forward, its fund raising efforts will be applied to equine education with a particular focus on the discipline of dressage.

So far, the 2012 Dressage at Devon features:

  • A session addressing emergency preparedness and response.
  • Sessions with veterinarians from Unionville Equine, Unionville PA. Topics developed to keep your horses at their best.  
  • A USEF training program for FEI stewards
  • A USEF training program for sport horse breed judges
  • A USEF “S” judge program

And, as an extra bonus, crowd-pleaser Guy McLean will show off his awesome horses in an additional performance, whips and all, at the end of the day Sunday. This exhibition will include Guy’s fascinating commentary on his training techniques and the true partnership between him and his equine partners. 

Additional seminars and forums will be announced.

Dressage at Devon will take place from September 25 to September 30, 2012 on the Devon Horse Show Grounds, located on US Route 30, in Devon, PA. The show combines world-class dressage competition and the largest dressage/sport horse breed show outside of Europe with international Fall Festival shops with a great selection for equestrians and non-equestrians alike, an array of food, the Ladies’ Day Hat Contest and, back by popular demand, the reinstituted Box Seat Decorating Contest.
