Welcome to the Devon Fall Classic! After many years, and many requests, the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation is delighted to bring a fall Jumper show back into the Devon line-up. The Fall Classic will feature the $25,000 Devon Classic, the SJHF High Junior/Adult-Amateur Classic and the USHJA Zone 2 Jumper Championships! In addition to the non-stop Jumper action, you’ll be treated to incredible shopping, live music, great food, a farmer’s market and fun for the whole family!
It’s a big event with lots going on, so in our inaugural newsletter we’ll break it down for you. Look for more detailed information in the coming weeks.
Boxes Available!
Don’t miss out on a rare opportunity to garner the best seats in the house for the $25,000 Devon Classic and SJHF High Junior/A-O Classic! A limited number of six-seat boxes are available in the Main Grandstand and may be reserved for Saturday evening, September 15 only. The price per box is $150.00. On-line purchasing is coming soon! In The Rings
Long time Devon managers David Distler and Peter Doubleday have been working since Devon to put together a program for the Fall Classic that includes both the Zone 2 Championships (PA, NY and NJ) and exciting Open Jumper competition. Zone 2 classes include Low and High Children’s, Low and High Adult, Low Junior, Pony Jumpers, a combined High Jr./A-O.

Open Jumper classes include Young Jumpers (Six, Seven and Eight Year Olds) as well as USEF Level 4 rated 1.20m, 1.30m, 1.40m and the Devon Classic at 1.45m.
Competition will begin with Open Jumpers on Thursday, September 13 at 9am. Friday at 8am, the Open Jumper action continues as the Zone 2 Championships get under way with qualifying rounds. Saturday’s day session begins at 8am with continuing Zone 2 competition. Saturday evening’s session will offer the grand spectacle that Devon is known for with the $25,000 Devon Classic and the High Jr./A-O with fences up to 4’9″. You can expect to see some Devon favorites return to the Dixon Oval competing for the top prize. Sunday promises more thrilling competition as the Zone 2 competitors duke it out for the title of Champion in seven divisions.

Devon Fall Festival
Every great Devon event includes fun for the entire family, whether it’s competition in the ring or the great shopping, food and fun to be found on the grounds! The Fall Festival will be open daily from 10 ’til the close of the show…and in some cases beyond! Look for more information in the coming weeks as more vendors and performers get in on the fun.

What better way to celebrate the coming of the harvest season than with a FARMERS’ MARKET? Look for these vendors to be selling the finest and freshest locally grown produce as wall as handcrafted breads, cheeses and artisanal products on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4pm.
Plan to come hungry! The FOOD VENDORS at the Fall Classic are the best of the best! Whirled Peace will offer frozen yogurt with delectable toppings made with organic and all natural ingredients. Goshen Donuts will be serving up the warm, fluffy, oh-so-good morsels all day, every day. Winner of Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars”, Dia Doce Gourmet Cupcakes will be on hand satisfying your sweet tooth with cupcakes that are familiar, exotic and everything in between. Looking for something more substantial? It’s all about BARBECUE! Hess’s Barbecue, winner of DOZENS of competitions, and taking 3rd in the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational, will be here serving up all of your smoky favorites and comfort food sides!
LIVE MUSIC is going to be a big part of the fun at the Fall Classic. A variety of performers will be entertaining in the Picnic Grove throughout the show. Friday afternoon and evening, come on down and unwind after a long week. Saturday’s entertainment schedule will kick it up a notch at the conclusion of the $25,000 Devon Classic. Sunday, look for family friendly entertainers to join the line-up that will make both parents and tots smile. Full schedule coming soon!
FAMILY FUN is the name of the game. Along with rides, games and cotton candy, the MIDWAY will feature a Giant Slide for the thrill seekers. Sunday, join us from Noon to 4pm for Pony Rides and a Petting Zoo with lots of lovable critters to pet and feed.
