Fog Cutter, owned by Margo Wain Lee, Santa Monica, Calif., was a multi-talented sport horse who died in October of 2007 at age 30. He began his career in the hunter ring, earning accolades in the second year green and regular working hunter divisions in 1985 in the San Fernando Valley Horse Show Association and the Los Angeles Horse Show Association.

After moving to the dressage ring, Fog Cutter was training level horse of the year for the Los Angeles chapter of the California Dressage Society in 1987, and in 1988 he won the U.S. Dressage Federation All-Breed Award for Thoroughbreds at training level.

Thurber graduated from Occidental College (Calif.) and trained at the Art Center College of Design in painting and illustration. She has paintings in many collections as well as residential stained glass installations in the Los Angeles area.
