Horses have been a constant focal point in Blakeslee’s life. She spent many years in Dallas, Texas as an instructor before moving to Florida to pursue a full-time career as an artist. Even during her time as a trainer, she had numerous commissions for portraits and paintings.

Blakeslee, Vero Beach, Fla., received her  bachelor’s degree in fine arts and painting from the University of North Texas. She is represented by VanderMoore during the Winter Equestrian Festival (Fla.) and Beresford Gallery during Saratoga (N.Y.).

Her artwork has been featured on the WEF program cover as well as numerous polo club programs around the country. Hunter is a 18″ x 24″ acrylic on canvas.
