The Blue
Phyllis Allen Eifert captured the special moment of victory in her bronze sculpture The Blue.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., Eifert began riding at age 6 and whenever she had the opportunity she hunted with the Bedford County Hounds and exhibited in local shows. In college she capped with Mr. Stewart’s Cheshire Foxhounds (Pa.) and competed in intercollegiate competitions. After receiving her bachelor of fine arts degree and furthering her education, Eifert was a fabric designer and art director in New York City. She later studied sculpture and bronze casting at the State University of New York for five years and has been doing limited editions in bronze for the past 20 years.

Eifert now resides in Tryon, N.C., and rides with the Tryon Hounds. She has exhibited her artwork extensively in this country and abroad, and her work has won awards and is represented in many private collections.
