Artist Heidi Osgood-Metcalf of Piermont, N.H., is a self-taught artist who specializes in Berol Prismacolor pencil on colored Canson paper. Her work can be viewed in various collections and galleries throughout the United States as well as abroad. She has also collaborated with Equestrian Events Inc., the United States Equestrian Federation and the United States Eventing Association.

Artist Heidi Osgood-Metcalf of Piermont, N.H., is a self-taught artist who specializes in Berol Prismacolor pencil on colored Canson paper. Her work can be viewed in various collections and galleries throughout the United States as well as abroad. She has also collaborated with Equestrian Events Inc., the United States Equestrian Federation and the United States Eventing Association.

Osgood-Metcalf’s work has also been part of the prize-giving ceremony at the Rolex Kentucky CCI, when the winners in 2001, 2002 and 2005 received an original portrait. This week’s cover, Guenter Seidel and Graf George, is from the collection of Seidel and Dick and Jane Brown.

The retired Grand Prix dressage horse earned two Olympic team bronze medals under two different U.S. riders: Michael Poulin in 1992 and Seidel in 1996. He and Seidel were eighth individually in Atlanta, and they were the anchors for the U.S. team at the 1998 World Equestrian Games (Italy). Graf George concluded his career after the 1998 WEG.
