Working Tango
Laurie Sullivan has been an equine portrait artist for more than a decade and a rider and horse lover throughout her life.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in painting, and a drawing minor, from East Carolina University (N.C.), Sullivan moved to California and began a career in advertising. She returned to North Carolina in 1980, where she continued her career and began to ride, first in dressage, then foxhunting and now endurance.

This week’s cover, Working Tango, is an 11″ x 16″ graphite drawing.

Sullivan resides in Waxhaw, N.C., with her husband, Mike, and son, Sean. She currently does freelance graphic work, equine portraiture and teaches art.
