Debbie Goldring’s love of horses inspired her to begin sketching at age 11. She works in soft pastel and achieves dramatic realism with her self-taught techniques. Goldring makes it a priority to capture the unique personality of each animal she paints.

Goldring’s artwork can be found worldwide and coast-to-coast. Some of her most memorable work includes: limited edition prints for the Eglinton-Caledon Hunt Club and Eden Park Equestrian Centre (Ont.), a commissioned piece for The Centennial Art Collection in celebration of Fort Erie Race Track’s 100th Anniversary (Ont.), and an invitation along with nine other artists to participate in the Alberta Fall Classic Art Auction.

This week’s cover, In Gate, is an 11″ x 14″ commissioned pastel. Goldring resides in Milton, Ontario, where she continues to paint and ride horses. She is also a photographer, graphic designer and art teacher.
