Parallel Pair
Karen Brenner specializes in capturing everyday moments in the lives of horses. Her luminous paintings are created with multiple translucent layers of oil paints.

Brenner has been involved with horse since childhood, when she spent most of her time riding ponies with her twin sister, Sharon. A member of the Ohio Horses and is planning to train in dressage with her Andalusian mare.

Brenner, Wooster, Ohio, has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Miami University of Ohio and is a member of the Equine Art Guild.

This week’s cover, Parallel Pair, is a 30″ x 20″ oil on masonite depicting two Lusitanos from Casa Lusitana demonstrate the art of dressage.
