First Hazard
Jeannie Heard has been creating pastel equine and canine art for the past 20 years. She worked out of Hunterdon County, N.J., until 2000, and since then she’s resided in Aiken, S.C.

She’s competed in equitation, hunters, combined training and dressage, and currently competes in combined driving as well as pleasure driving shows. “I love trying to capture the excitement and action of the marathon portion of the CDE in my artwork,” she said.

In between her art and equestrian pursuits, Heard also teaches psychology classes at colleges in the Aiken and Augusta areas.
