Continuing The Tradition

The sculpture Continuing The Tradition was inspired by Mike and Carolyn Fell of Arapahoe Hunt (Colo.), when sculptor Jean Clagett watched the father/daughter return from a day’s hunting. The piece was part of a fund-raising effort for the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.

Clagett moved her studio, Atelier West, from the West Coast to Upperville, Va., in late 2006. She’s known inter-nationally and has her work in many private collections around the world.

Among her more recent projects are race horses Smarty Jones, With Anticipation, and, the life-size sculpture of eventing star Bruce Davidson on Eagle Lion destined for unveiling at the 2007 Rolex Kentucky CCI**** in April.
