This week’s cover, Windfall II, is a watercolor painted by Alan James Robinson for owner Timothy Holekamp.

A limited edition giclee print has been published from the original to raise funds for eventer Darren Chiacchia, who is recuperating from injuries suffered during a fall at the Red Hills Horse Trials (Fla.) in March.

The watercolor was created during the 2004 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event by the artist while painting in the American Trakehner Society booth.

Chiacchia and Windfall, a 16-year-old, Trakehner stallion, won the CCI**** (modified) that year. In addition, the pair won the individual gold medal at the 2003 Pan American Games, the team bronze at the 2004 Athens Olympics and placed fifth in the 2006 FEI World Cup of Eventing (Sweden).

The print will be available for $150 and $250 framed in solid cherry and is approximately 15″ x 20″. Additionally, Robinson is accepting commissions for original portraits of which a portion of the proceeds will be donated in the client’s name to Chiacchia’s fund.

To order a print, contact the Equestrian Aid Foundation’s Janise Gray, Director of Grant Recipient Services, 228 Phillips Terrace, Union NJ 07083 or call (800) 792-6068.

Robinson is a noted watercolorist and fly fisherman. As a wildlife artist and outdoorsman, he’s committed to advancing the understanding of nature. Over the years, he’s collected a vast library of slides that he uses as reference for artwork and for presentations to conservation groups, sporting clubs and other fund raising events.

Robinson, Easthampton, Mass., is the owner, designer and illustrator for the award-winning Press of the Sea Turtle, which he established in 1979.
