This week’s cover, Victorious, is a watercolor that captures rider Elise Haas in a moment of elation during a victory pass.

The award-winning artist specializes in brilliant watercolors, and his sporting art has appeared on the covers of the Chronicle and the New York Times Magazine as well as many other publications.
