Debby Thomas, a horse trainer and riding instructor for more than 25 years, began pursing fine art in the past few years. Her pencil and colored pencil pieces have been in numerous juried exhibits and shows, as well as in private collections in the United States and Europe.

In 2002, her artwork was chosen for the American Academy of Equine Art annual show at the International Museum of the Horse in Lexington, Ky. Her photographic work is also on display at the AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, Mo.

Thomas, of Moseley, Va., also received many awards, including first place in The Artists Magazine competition and best terrier in the prestigious Art Show At The Dog Show.
