Artist Michael Tang captured a moment of harmony between amateur rider Peter Wetherill and his mount, Hudson.

In addition to earning top ribbons in the amateur-owner division with Wetherill, Hudson won the 1999 $25,000 AHJF Hunter Classic (Fla.) with professional Elizabeth Bross.

Tang is an associate professor and chairman of the art and art history department at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Calif. Tang can also be found at horse shows where he competes in the amateur hunter divisions with horses he trains himself.
